Amalia Karlin MS, RDN
Amalia Karlin serves the ostomy community as a Registered Dietitian. Amalia graduated from a
didactic program in dietetics at Boston University and completed her Master’s in Nutrition at
Northeastern. She has been working as a dietitian for 7 years and brings a unique perspective
working with individuals with ostomies as she is living with a permanent ostomy herself. Amalia
is passionate about bridging the gap between the patient experience and that of clinicians with
the goal of helping ostomates advocate for their health and well-being and improve their
quality of life. She currently counsels ostomates exclusively through her virtual practice. In
addition to one-on-one nutrition counseling, she writes for The Phoenix, UOAA’s online
magazine.
